Opportunity:

Registered Nurse - CVOR

Job Details:

• Work 8-hour, 10-hour, or 12-hour shifts with guaranteed hours: 40 hours per week for 8/10-hour shifts, 36 hours for three 12-hour shifts, or 48 hours for four 12-hour shifts
• Must be comfortable scrubbing and rate 3/4 in scrubbing CV/PV/Heart and Lung transplant procedures
• Minimum 2 years of experience required
• BLS certification required
• Must have Indiana license, compact state license, or Indiana temporary license in hand prior to start
• Call requirement of approximately 100 hours per 6 weeks with 1 call weekend per 6 weeks (Friday evening to Monday morning)
• Float required to other OR specialties
• Must work 2 out of 3 major holidays
• Perform heart and lung transplants, aortic dissections, and ECMO procedures
• Work with adult and geriatric patient populations
• 40 hours of orientation provided
• Patient ratio of 1:1
• Use Cerner charting system
• Travel experience required
• Level I Trauma experience preferred
• Two supervisor references required
• Charge pay opportunities available

This short-term acute care hospital is a major healthcare facility with multiple units and a total of over 700 staffed beds across different locations. The facility specializes in complex cardiovascular and thoracic procedures, including heart and lung transplants, aortic dissections, and ECMO support. The hospital maintains a daily census of 70-80 patients and operates 24 rooms in the cardiovascular operating unit. The facility offers free parking and utilizes Cerner charting systems throughout the organization.
