Description
Opportunity:
RN - IMC
Job Details:
• Float position requiring willingness to work on IMC, Tele 1 (cardiac), Tele 2 (non-cardiac), and M/S units
• Every other weekend (EOW) required
• No call responsibilities
• Patient ratio of 4:1 for days, nights, and weekends
• 6 weekend shifts (Saturday or Sunday) per 6-week contract
• 3 years of experience required with travel experience preferred
• Must have active Virginia license or Compact license in hand at submission
• Required certifications: ACLS and BLS
• Epic charting system experience required
• Must have PCU/DOU/IMC/Stepdown experience
• Cardiac telemetry experience required
• Management of dysrhythmias required
• Pre/Post cardiac catheterization experience required
• Central line and PICC line management required
• Heparin protocols experience required
• Must be able to manage and titrate cardiac drips
• Telemetry monitoring on unit required
• Use of rapid response teams required
• Isolation precautions knowledge required
• NIH, traumatic brain injury, peripheral nerve block catheters, surgical drains, wound care/wound vac experience preferred
• IV insertion skills preferred
• Must attend Epic training (accelerated or 2-day class)
• Up to 7 hours of non-billable modules required during orientation
• Adult patient population focus
• Care for pulmonary, cardiac, and trauma patients including advanced airway management, tracheostomies, ventilators, high flow O2, BIPAP, chest tubes, and Zephyr valves

Low stress work environment. You get to sit your whole shift if you want. Pretty easy learning curve. Managers and team leads are usually pretty approachable and responsive.

Not quite as organized as other places. Can get Very cold, especially in winter. Lots of tedious container prep requirements from OR.

I am an Adult Cardiac Sonographer and I have been traveling for almost 3 years now and pretty much all the time with ADEX Healthcare staffing. I always look around for all the options as most of travelers do, but end up with this company, because They don’t fail me! Good competitive rates and always attention. Vincent Poast is the guy you want to deal with no matter what is your experience in traveling and profession. He always explains all pros and cons of a contract. I feel like he is on my side compared to other recruiters. The most important part for me that he always answers my calls and texts no matter if it’s a weekend or after hours! Also, if he can’t help me directly, he would get a ADEX staff member who resolves an issue right the way. The whole team has been very helpful for almost 6 contracts now. Oh, and another very important thing for me that Vince never pushes to get into a contract and bothers like a lot of other recruiters that calling and texting day and night. He lets you decide what you really want !
