Opportunity:

RN - Med Surg

Job Details:

• Work 12-hour night shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM
• 36/36 or 36/48 schedule with every other weekend required
• No call responsibilities
• Required to float to other units as needed
• Patient ratio of 7:1 for all shifts
• 2 years of nursing experience required
• Accepts first-time travelers
• Must have Med/Surg and Med/Surg Telemetry experience
• Required certifications: AHA BLS, ACLS preferred
• Must live 100 miles or more from the facility
• 24 hours of orientation with 16 hours non-billable
• General orientation begins on Sundays with online modules
• Epic charting system experience preferred
• Required skills include accessing/managing ports, blood product administration, central line blood draws, colostomy care, feeding tube management, telemetry monitoring, IV management, and dysrhythmia interpretation
• Expected to participate in nursing student support and clinical education
• Hospital may cancel one shift biweekly without penalty based on census
• Drug test must be completed 12-14 days prior to start date
• Flu vaccination required with medical/religious exemptions only
