Opportunity:

RN - Med Surg Tele

Job Details:

• Work 36/36 or 36/48 schedule with every other weekend requirement
• No call responsibilities
• Float to other units when needed
• Patient ratio of 7:1 for days, nights, and weekends
• Care for adult patients in a 35-bed unit with daily census of 35
• Use Epic charting system
• 16 hours of non-billable orientation beginning on Sundays
• 2 years of nursing experience required
• Previous charge experience preferred
• First time travelers accepted
• Required certifications: AHA BLS, ACLS
• Must live 100 miles from facility
• Expected to participate in nursing student support and clinical education
• Work with interdisciplinary team including Physical Therapy, Respiratory Services, Phlebotomy, Pharmacy, Transportation, and Unit Secretary
• Skills include telemetry monitoring, IV management, blood product administration, heparin protocols, insulin management, and post-procedural care
• Complete drug testing 12-14 calendar days prior to start date
• Facial hair must be trimmed or removed for fit testing compliance
• Complete 4-5 hours of non-billable modules during orientation
