Opportunity:

RN - Med Surg

Job Details:

• Work 12-hour night shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM
• First week includes day shift orientation hours from 7:00 AM to 5:00 PM
• 36 guaranteed hours per week
• Every other weekend required
• Patient ratios of 1:4-6
• Position on 6900 GI/GU unit
• Must have 2 years med/surg experience
• Float within service line to meet facility needs
• Required certifications: BLS
• Epic charting system experience required
• Must pass Relias EKG exam for dysrhythmia interpretation and management
• Required skills: Med/Surg, Telemetry remote monitoring, Colostomy care, Feeding tube care and management, Blood Product Administration, Central line blood draw, Peripheral Line Care/Management, Phlebotomy, PICC line management, Starting IVs, Heparin, Insulin, PCA
• Administer various drips including Heparin, Lidocaine, Bicarb, Bivaldirubin, and Amiodarone
• Manage PCAs, Epidurals, and CBIs with different irrigation solutions
• Navy scrubs required
• Care for patients with ostomy, colon resection, colon cancer, bladder cancer, GU conditions, and medical overflow
• Handle high turn-over surgery patient unit
• Perform special procedures including foleys, continuous bladder irrigation, TURPS, and protocols for colorectal patients
• No more than 7 days RTO per 13-week contract
• Travel experience required
• No local candidates within 75-mile radius accepted
