Job Details:

• 1 year of experience required with first-time travelers accepted
• Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS, NIHSS
• Patient ratio of 1:5 with mixed and shared acuity levels
• Every other weekend coverage required
• Float required when census warrants
• 16 hours of orientation provided
• Epic charting experience is a hard requirement
• Dress code: any combination of navy and white scrubs
• NY license required in hand to submit
• Care for patients of all ages including neonates, infants, pediatrics, adolescents, adults, and geriatrics
• Required skills include general emergency department care for combined adult/pediatric patients, interpretation and management of dysrhythmias, management of patients with multisystem organ dysfunction/failure, blood product administration, central line care/management, phlebotomy, starting IVs, continuous IV paralytics and sedation, emergency medications, IV vasopressors, procedural sedation administration, CVA care, and isolation precautions
• Work in a 34-room, 71-bed emergency department with daily census of 64 and approximately 145 visits per day
• Comprehensive interdisciplinary support including IV teams, physical therapy, respiratory services, interpretation services, phlebotomy, radiology, social services, rapid response teams, pharmacy, transportation, and unit secretary
