Opportunity:

RN - Med Surg

Job Details:

• Work night shifts with every other weekend and 2 week day shifts based on staffing needs
• Holiday rotation required - must work holidays during assigned rotation periods
• Patient ratio of 1:6 across all shifts
• 2 years of nursing experience required
• BLS certification required
• 24 hours of orientation provided
• Work on 32-bed Medical Innovation Unit focused on new technologies and innovative nursing practices
• Care for adult and geriatric patients with diagnoses including cellulitis, pneumonia, dementia, renal failure, malignancy, GI bleed, sepsis, diabetes, COPD, and various surgical conditions
• Required skills include IV insulin protocols, colostomy care, hemodialysis management, accessing/managing ports, central line blood draws, chest tube management, tracheostomy care, wound care/wound vac, blood product administration, PICC line management, PCA pumps, and high flow nasal cannula
• Experience with Meditech charting system preferred
• Must be available for rapid response/code team participation
• Flu vaccine required with medical/religious exemptions only
• Zero tolerance THC policy with drug screening required on day 1
• Fit testing required - must be clean shaven or provide approved medical exemption

The organization maintains high standards for patient care with a daily census of approximately 30 patients.
