Opportunity:

RN - Med Surg

Job Details:

• Work day shifts with every other weekend requirement and 2 week day shifts based on staffing needs
• Holiday rotation required - must work holidays during rotation schedule
• Patient ratio of 1:6 on days, nights, and weekends
• 2 years of nursing experience required
• BLS certification required
• 24 hours of orientation provided
• Work on 2 West Medical Innovation Unit - a 32-bed medical/surgical unit focused on new technologies and innovative nursing practice
• Care for adult and geriatric patients with daily census of 30 patients
• Unit features 28 rooms with 32 beds and includes Hercules beds
• Experience with Meditech charting system preferred
• Community hospital experience preferred
• Must be comfortable with accessing/managing ports, blood product administration, central line blood draws, chest tubes, colostomy care, feeding tube management, heparin protocols, insulin administration, telemetry monitoring, tracheostomy care, wound care, and other medical/surgical procedures
• Zero tolerance policy for THC - medical marijuana cards not accepted
• Drug screening required during compliance and on day 1
• Fit testing required with clean-shaven policy for proper mask fitting
• Flu vaccine required with medical/religious exemptions only
• General RN orientation occurs every other Monday
