Opportunity:

RN - Med Surg Tele

Job Details:

• Work in a 14-bed overflow unit accommodating ED boarder patients in a medical/surgical telemetry setting
• Flex space within GI Endoscopy area where patient numbers may vary based on demand
• Patient ratios: 5:1 during days, 7:1 during nights
• Every other weekend coverage required with 4 weekend shifts per contract
• Float requirements apply across units
• 12-hour orientation provided
• Care for adult and geriatric patient populations
• Minimum 1 year of experience required
• Previous charge experience preferred
• BLS certification required
• EPIC charting system experience is mandatory
• Navy blue/white scrubs required
• Skills required: MS/Tele experience, interpretation and management of dysrhythmias, use of Rapid Response/Code teams, peripheral line care/management, nasal cannula and oxygen administration, non-invasive airway management, isolation precautions
• IV competency required (PICC team available but RN should be skilled in IV placement)
• New York license required in hand to submit
• Local candidates within 75 miles not accepted
• First-time travelers accepted
• Minimal RTO (requested time off) preferred
