Opportunity:

RN - Med Surg Tele

Job Details:

• Work on a 14-bed overflow unit designed to accommodate ED boarder patients
• Function as a medical/surgical telemetry unit within a flexible GI Endoscopy space
• Patient census may fluctuate based on demand and boarder numbers
• Patient ratios: 5:1 during days, 7:1 during nights
• Weekend coverage required every other weekend with 4 weekend shifts per contract
• Floating to other units required
• 12 hours of orientation provided
• Care for adult and geriatric patient populations
• Previous charge experience preferred
• Minimum 1 year of nursing experience required
• EPIC charting system experience required
• BLS certification required
• Skills required: MS/Tele, interpretation and management of dysrhythmias, use of Rapid Response/Code teams, peripheral line care/management, nasal cannula, oxygen administration, oxygen tanks, non-invasive airway management, isolation precautions
• Navy blue/white scrubs required
• New York license required in hand to submit
• Travel experience not required - first-time travelers accepted
• Pre-start modules required (up to 10 hours total)
