Description
Opportunity:
RN - ICU
Job Details:
• Work in an 11-bed Intensive Care Unit with a 1:2 patient ratio on all shifts
• 2 years of recent specialty experience required with full year of in-specialty experience within the past 12 months
• Required to work 8 weekend shifts in a 6-week schedule period (combination of Friday/Saturday/Sunday)
• Must work holidays if they fall on scheduled days
• May float to Medical Surgical Intermediate (MSI) units or Emergency Department for inpatient holds based on greatest need
• Guaranteed 3 shifts per 13-week contract
• Maximum 7 days request time off allowed
• Must maintain both Kansas and Missouri nursing licenses or compact license
• Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIH Stroke Scale
• Comprehensive ICU skills required including surgical intensive care, dysrhythmia interpretation and management, multi-system organ failure care, cardiac catheterization procedures, pulmonary artery monitoring, CVVHD/CRRT, arterial line management, central line care, ventilator management, and titration of cardiac and vasoactive drips
• CRRT experience preferred
• Travel experience required
• Uniform requirement: Navy blue scrubs for RNs
• Documentation in EPIC charting system
• 12 hours of orientation provided
• Care for adult and geriatric patients
• Locals not accepted (must live more than 75 miles from facility)

Vincent Poast is the guy you want to deal with no matter what is your experience in traveling and profession. He always explains all pros and cons of a contract. I feel like he is on my side compared to other recruiters. The most important part for me that he always answers my calls and texts no matter if it’s a weekend or after hours! Also, if he can’t help me directly, he would get a ADEX staff member who resolves an issue right the way. The whole team has been very helpful for almost 6 contracts now. Oh, and another very important thing for me that Vince never pushes to get into a contract and bothers like a lot of other recruiters that calling and texting day and night. He lets you decide what you really want !
