Opportunity:

RN - Med Surg Tele

Job Details:

• Work in Progressive Care Unit/Medical Intermediate unit with 1:5 patient ratios
• 2 years of Medical Surgical/Intermediate care experience required
• 8 weekend shifts required within 6-week schedule period (combination of Friday/Saturday/Sunday)
• Required certifications: BLS, NIHSS
• Must have telemetry skills and on-unit monitoring experience
• Work with post-catheterization patients
• Floating required between departments, units, and facilities as needed
• Holiday shifts and charge RN assignments as needed
• 12-hour orientation provided
• Must wear navy scrubs
• Use EPIC charting system
• Free parking provided
• Guaranteed 3 shifts per 13-week contract
• Maximum 7 days request time off allowed
• Care for adult and geriatric patients with diagnoses including gallbladder surgery, appendix surgery, hysterectomy, chest pain rule-out, nausea/vomiting, sepsis, and heart failure
• Must maintain skills in dysrhythmia interpretation, pacemaker management, central line care, IV therapy, heparin protocols, and wound care

This community hospital features 240 staffed beds including a 16-bed ICU and provides comprehensive medical services to the surrounding area. The facility maintains a 33-bed Medical Surgical/Telemetry unit with an average daily census of 30 patients. The hospital offers extensive interdisciplinary support including IV teams, physical therapy, respiratory services, pharmacy, rapid response teams, and various ancillary services to ensure quality patient care.
