Description
Opportunity:
Registered Nurse - PCU
Job Details:
• Work 3x12 or 4x12 hour shifts (4x12 available by request)
• Weekend requirement: May be every other weekend or 6 weekend shifts in a 6-week scheduling block
• Must work one holiday per 13-week contract
• Patient ratios: 1:4-5 (goal is 4:1, mostly 5:1)
• EPIC charting experience required
• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS
• Must have experience in Telemetry, PCU, DOU, IMC, and stepdown settings
• Proficient in cardiac monitoring, emergency response, and interpretation/management of dysrhythmias
• Experience with cardiac drips (Cardizem, Heparin, Insulin, low-dose dopamine/dobutamine, Amiodarone, Nitro, Bumex, Lasix) with no titration
• Competency in IV therapy, phlebotomy, blood product administration, and central/peripheral line care
• Skills required: chest tubes, trach care, PICC line management, and medication administration
• Respiratory skills needed: nasal cannula, oxygen administration, CPAP, BiPAP, and non-invasive airway management
• Must be able to float within skillset to other PCU or medical-surgical level units
• Care for adult and geriatric patients with general medicine conditions
• 32 hours of orientation provided
• Unit has 26 beds with daily census of 26 patients
• Remote telemetry monitoring with tele-sitting support

I am an Adult Cardiac Sonographer and I have been traveling for almost 3 years now and pretty much all the time with ADEX Healthcare staffing. I always look around for all the options as most of travelers do, but end up with this company, because They don’t fail me! Good competitive rates and always attention. Vincent Poast is the guy you want to deal with no matter what is your experience in traveling and profession. He always explains all pros and cons of a contract. I feel like he is on my side compared to other recruiters. The most important part for me that he always answers my calls and texts no matter if it’s a weekend or after hours! Also, if he can’t help me directly, he would get a ADEX staff member who resolves an issue right the way. The whole team has been very helpful for almost 6 contracts now. Oh, and another very important thing for me that Vince never pushes to get into a contract and bothers like a lot of other recruiters that calling and texting day and night. He lets you decide what you really want !
