Opportunity:

RN - Med Surg Tele

Job Details:

• Work 12-hour day shifts from 7:30 AM to 7:30 PM
• Every other weekend coverage required
• Patient ratios: Days 1:6, Nights 1:7, Weekends 1:8
• 1 year of nursing experience required
• Travel experience required
• Must live more than 50 miles from facility
• Epic charting system experience is a hard requirement
• NY license required in hand to submit
• BLS certification required
• 12 hours of orientation provided
• Float assignment required
• Required skills: MS/Tele, interpretation and management of dysrhythmias, use of Rapid Response/Code teams, peripheral line care/management, nasal cannula, oxygen administration, oxygen tanks, non-invasive airway management, isolation precautions
• Care for adult and geriatric patients with diagnoses including COPD, pneumonia, non-specific abdominal pain, cellulitis, and chest pain rule out
• Work with interdisciplinary support including physical therapy, respiratory services, interpretation services, phlebotomy, radiology, pharmacy, and unit secretary
• 25-bed unit with daily census of 15 patients
• Pre-start modules required (up to 5 billable hours, may reach 10 total hours)
