Opportunity:

RN - Med Surg Tele

Job Details:

• Work on medical surgical telemetry unit caring for cardiac patients
• Day/evening patient ratios are 5:1 (stretch 6-7), night ratios are 6-7:1 (stretch 8-10 if staff calls in)
• 19-bed unit serving adult and geriatric patient populations
• Weekend coverage required every other weekend
• Block scheduling preferred but not guaranteed
• Must float within scope to meet facility needs between like units
• 16 hours of orientation provided
• Minimum 1 year of recent experience required
• BLS certification required
• Epic charting system experience is a hard requirement
• NY license required in hand to submit
• No on-call requirements
• Skills required include interpretation and management of dysrhythmias, use of rapid response teams, peripheral line care/management, oxygen administration, non-invasive airway management, and isolation precautions
• Scrub colors: any combination of navy and white
• PCT staff available for vital signs, blood glucose checks, EKGs, and activities of daily living
• In-house phlebotomy team handles peripheral lab draws; nursing responsible for PICC lines and central lines
• RTO restrictions: no more than 1 week RTO allowed in contract
• Modules are billable up to 5 hours and must be completed pre-start

The facility provides comprehensive support services including IV teams, physical therapy, respiratory services, interpretation services, phlebotomy, radiology, social services, rapid response teams, pharmacy, and transportation.
