Opportunity:

RN - Med Surg Tele

Job Details:

• Med Surg Telemetry position caring for adult and geriatric patients on a 19-bed cardiac unit
• Day/evening patient ratios are 5:1 (stretch 6-7), night ratios are 6-7:1 (stretch 8-10 if staff calls in)
• Minimum 1 year of experience required, first-time travelers accepted
• Every other weekend requirement
• Float within scope to meet facility needs required
• 16-hour orientation provided
• Block scheduling attempted but not guaranteed
• Maximum 1 week RTO allowed per contract
• Required certifications: BLS
• Epic charting experience is a hard requirement
• NY license required in hand to submit
• Local radius restriction: 75 miles (locals not accepted)
• Dress code: Any combination of navy and white scrubs
• Required skills: MS/Tele, interpretation and management of dysrhythmias, rapid response team use, peripheral line care/management, oxygen administration, non-invasive airway management, isolation precautions
• Billable modules up to 5 hours, completed pre-start
• Support staff includes PCTs for vital signs and ADLs, in-house phlebotomy team for peripheral draws
