Opportunity:

RN - ICU

Job Details:

• 2:1 patient ratios for days, nights, and weekends
• Every other weekend requirement
• 12 hours of orientation required
• 3 years of nursing experience required
• 2:1 patient ratio experience required
• Epic charting system experience required
• Community hospital experience preferred
• Required certifications: CA RN License, ACLS, BLS, NIHSS, PALS (must be AHA or American Red Cross)
• Care for adult and geriatric patients in medical ICU setting
• Daily census of 6 patients in 8-bed unit
• Skills include: accessing/managing ports, arterial line management, ventilator management, central line care, blood product administration, IV insulin protocols, cardiac and vasoactive drip titration, procedural sedation, and emergency medications
• Work with special equipment including Arctic Sun, BIS monitor, and NICOM
• Interdisciplinary support available including physical therapy, respiratory services, interpretation services, phlebotomy, and radiology
• Must be available for lab work within 3-5 days of signing
• 50-mile travel requirement
• One holiday time-off approval per contract
• Non-billable modules completed during orientation (1-5 hours average)
