Description
Opportunity:
Registered Nurse - PCU
Job Details:
• Work 3x12 hour day shifts from 6:45 AM to 7:15 PM
• 13-week assignment duration
• Patient ratio of 1:5 with goal of 1:4
• Work on 8 South Radius PCU - a Hospitalist unit for general medicine PCU
• 24 hours of orientation provided
• Virginia or compact state nursing license required
• Required certifications: ACLS-AHA, BLS-AHA, and NIHSS
• Minimum 1 year of nursing experience required
• Previous charge experience preferred
• Epic charting system experience required
• Trauma Level I experience preferred
• Must work at least 1 holiday per 13-week assignment (2 holidays required during winter season)
• Weekend coverage required
• Care for adult and geriatric patients with diagnoses including DKA, COPD, sepsis, overdose cases, chronic respiratory failure, and renal failure
• Manage vent/trach dependent patients on hybrid unit with 2 ICU beds and 10 PCU beds
• Perform 2-nurse assessment and bedside reporting every shift
• May work without CNA support
• Skills include telemetry monitoring, central line care, blood product administration, cardiac drip management, airway management, and wound care
• Not recommended for first-time travelers

I am an Adult Cardiac Sonographer and I have been traveling for almost 3 years now and pretty much all the time with ADEX Healthcare staffing. I always look around for all the options as most of travelers do, but end up with this company, because They don’t fail me! Good competitive rates and always attention. Vincent Poast is the guy you want to deal with no matter what is your experience in traveling and profession. He always explains all pros and cons of a contract. I feel like he is on my side compared to other recruiters. The most important part for me that he always answers my calls and texts no matter if it’s a weekend or after hours! Also, if he can’t help me directly, he would get a ADEX staff member who resolves an issue right the way. The whole team has been very helpful for almost 6 contracts now. Oh, and another very important thing for me that Vince never pushes to get into a contract and bothers like a lot of other recruiters that calling and texting day and night. He lets you decide what you really want !
