Opportunity:

RN - Med Surg

Job Details:

• Work 36/36 schedule with every other weekend required
• No call responsibilities
• Required to float to other units as needed
• 2 years of experience required
• Accepts first time travelers
• AHA BLS certification required
• Med/Surg and Telemetry experience required
• Must live 100 miles from the facility
• 16 hours of non-billable orientation beginning on Sundays with online CBLs
• Expected to participate in nursing student support and clinical education
• Work with adult patient population on 30-bed unit with daily census of 30 patients
• Required skills include telemetry monitoring, pre/post hemodialysis management, accessing/managing ports, chest tube management, high flow nasal cannula, ABG interpretation, colostomy care, feeding tube management, blood product administration, central line blood draws, PICC line management, IV management, wound care, and isolation precautions
• Charting system experience preferred (Meditech)
• Drug test must be completed within 12-14 calendar days prior to start
• Fit testing required with facial hair trimmed or removed per CDC guidelines
• 4-5 hours of non-billable modules completed during orientation
• Flu vaccine required with medical/religious exemptions only
