Opportunity:

RN - Med Surg

Job Details:

• Work 36/36 schedule with 12-hour shifts
• Patient ratios of 1:6 for days, nights, and weekends
• Must have minimum 1 year of nursing experience
• Patient ratio experience of 1:7 required
• Previous charge experience preferred
• Weekend coverage required
• One pre-approved time off allowed per contract
• 24 hours of orientation with 16 hours being non-billable
• Hospital can cancel/call off one shift biweekly without penalty if census decreases
• Care for patients of all age groups: adolescents, adults, pediatrics, and geriatrics
• Unit has daily census of 28 patients with 39 beds total
• Required certifications: AHA BLS
• NIHSS certification preferred
• Epic charting system experience required
• Community hospital experience preferred
• Must be comfortable with MS/Tele, dysrhythmia interpretation and management, rapid response/code teams, peripheral line care, oxygen administration, and isolation precautions
• Expected to participate in nursing student support and clinical education
• Permanent residence must be 100+ miles from hospital service area
• Flu vaccine required (medical/religious exemptions only)
• General orientation begins on Sundays with online CBLs
• Drug test must be completed 12-14 days prior to start date
• Facial hair must be trimmed for fit testing per CDC guidelines
