Opportunity:

RN - Med Surg Tele

Job Details:

• Med Surg/Telemetry RN position with 1 year of experience required
• Day/Evening patient ratios are 5:1 (stretch to 6-7), Night ratios are 6-7:1 (stretch to 8-10 if staff calls in)
• Every other weekend requirement
• Required to float within scope to Med Surg, ICU, and ED units
• 4 hours of orientation provided
• Care for adult and geriatric patients with cardiac and stroke diagnoses
• 20-bed unit with comprehensive interdisciplinary support
• Required certifications: BLS, NIHSS
• Epic charting experience is a hard requirement
• New York license required in hand to submit
• Must be comfortable with interpretation and management of dysrhythmias
• Experience required with Rapid Response Teams, peripheral line care/management
• Oxygen administration experience including nasal cannula, face masks, and portable tanks
• Non-invasive airway management and isolation precautions required
• Work with special equipment including hoyer lifts
• Scrub color requirement: any combination of navy and white
• PCT support available for vital signs, blood glucose checks, EKGs, and activities of daily living
• In-house phlebotomy team handles peripheral lab draws; nursing responsible for PICC and central lines
• Pre-start modules required (up to 10 hours total, 5 hours billable)
• No holiday RTO, maximum 7 days requested time off
• Local candidates within 75 miles not accepted
