Opportunity:

RN - Med Surg Tele

Job Details:

• 2 years of Med Surg Telemetry experience required
• Travel experience preferred
• Patient ratios of 5-6 patients
• Care for adolescents, adults, and geriatric patients
• 38-bed unit with daily census of 35 patients
• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS
• 12 hours of orientation required
• 6 weekend shifts required per 6-week schedule (Saturday/Sunday)
• One pre-approved time off request allowed
• Must complete modules during orientation (6-8 hours average)
• Skills include cardiac telemetry, blood product administration, central line care, chest tube management, IV insulin protocols, cardiac and vasoactive drip management, post-cardiac procedures, wound care, and interpretation of dysrhythmias
• Altera charting system experience preferred but not required
• Must be at least 150 miles from facility location
• Flu vaccine required with medical/religious exemptions only
• Facility conducts mandatory drug screening upon arrival including marijuana testing
