Opportunity:

RN - SICU

Job Details:

• Work in a 38-bed mixed MICU/SICU/CVICU unit at a Level II Trauma Center
• Patient ratios of 1:2-3, with potential to float to step-down unit with ratios of 1:3-4
• Every other weekend requirement
• No on-call requirements
• Must float within scope to meet facility needs
• 2 years of experience required
• VA or compact state license required
• Required certifications: ACLS, NIH, BLS, with TNCC and CSC preferred
• CRRT experience mandatory plus at least one other specialized skill
• Manager prefers experience with IABP, Impella, CRRT Prismax, and EVD Drain skills
• Epic charting system experience preferred
• Navy blue scrubs required
• Care for specialized patient population including trauma, cardiovascular surgery, and neurosurgery patients
• Manage patients with conditions such as acute ventilator needs, severe sepsis, unstable GI bleeds, open heart recovery, TAVR recovery, and multi-system organ failure
• Experience required with arterial line management, blood product administration, dysrhythmia interpretation and management
• Work with specialized equipment including Swan catheters, CRRT machines, ventilators, balloon pumps, and Impella devices
• First-time travelers accepted
• Travel pairs not allowed on this unit
• Must complete up to 8 hours of non-billable modules within one week of signing
