Opportunity:

RN - Med Surg Tele

Job Details:

• Work in a 19-bed medical surgical telemetry unit caring for adult and geriatric cardiac patients
• Day/evening patient ratios are 5:1 (stretch to 6-7), night ratios are 6-7:1 (stretch to 8-10 if staff calls in)
• Block scheduling available but not guaranteed
• Every other weekend requirement
• Float within scope to like units as needed
• 16-hour orientation provided
• 1 year of recent experience required
• First-time travelers accepted
• No locals within 75-mile radius accepted
• Maximum 1 week RTO allowed per contract
• Required certifications: BLS, NIHSS
• Epic charting experience is a hard requirement
• NY license required in hand to submit
• Scrub colors: any combination of navy and white
• Skills required: interpretation and management of dysrhythmias, rapid response team use, peripheral line care, oxygen administration, non-invasive airway management, isolation precautions
• Complete pre-start modules (up to 5 billable hours)
• PCT staff available for vital signs, blood glucose checks, EKGs, and activities of daily living
• In-house phlebotomy team handles peripheral lab draws; nursing responsible for PICC and central lines
