Opportunity:

RN - ER

Job Details:

• 2.5 years of Emergency Department experience required
• 1 year of neuro/stroke experience required
• 2 previous travel assignments required
• Patient ratios: 1:5 (may go up to 1:6 in emergent situations)
• Every other weekend requirement
• Float required within scope of practice
• Must have experience with Level 1 resuscitation patients
• Required certifications: ACLS, BCLS, NIH, PALS, TNCC (preferred)
• 24 hours of orientation provided
• Scrub color: Any, no tee shirts, sweat shirts, or logos from other organizations
• Must work with patients of all age groups: neonates, infants, pediatrics, adolescents, adults, geriatrics
• Experience with charting system Meditech preferred
• Must be greater than 30 miles from facility (no locals)
• 3 call-outs result in termination
• Holiday requirements apply based on number of holidays during assignment
• RTO limited to 10 days maximum with additional 2 weeks added to assignment
• No RTO during first or last week of assignment
• Schedule changes may occur up to 48 hours before shift

This acute care hospital operates as a 210-bed facility serving as both a STEMI Center and Primary Stroke Center. The emergency department features 25 rooms with 30 beds and handles approximately 92 visits per day. The facility maintains Level 1 trauma capabilities and offers comprehensive interdisciplinary support including physical therapy, respiratory services, radiology, pharmacy, and rapid response teams. The organization emphasizes high-quality emergency care with specialized stroke and cardiac programs.
