Opportunity:

RN - Stepdown

Job Details:

• Work 3x12 hour day shifts with every other weekend required
• 13-week assignment duration with ASAP start date
• Manage 4:1 patient ratios on days, nights, and weekends
• Provide care for cardiac surgery patients after ICU on cardiovascular stepdown/telemetry unit
• Must have 2+ years of RN experience with strong cardiac telemetry/stepdown background
• Experience managing chest tubes and dysrhythmia interpretation/management required
• Must have experience working with cardiovascular stepdown patients and telemetry monitoring
• Required certifications: BLS, ACLS
• Must have active Virginia license or Compact license in hand at submission
• Skills include titrating cardiac and vasoactive drips, cardiac catheterization care, chest tube management, ventilated patient care, and various cardiac procedures
• EPIC charting system experience required - class dependent on experience level
• 24 hours of orientation provided
• Adult patient population in 21-bed unit
• Interdisciplinary support includes IV teams, physical therapy, respiratory services, pharmacy, and rapid response teams
• Smoke/nicotine free facility
• Float requirements in rotation with client staff per Joint Commission standards
• Up to 7 hours of non-billable modules required during orientation
