Description
Opportunity:
Registered Nurse - PCU
Job Details:
• Work 3x12 or 4x12 hour shifts with guaranteed hours: 36 hours for 3x12 shifts or 48 hours for 4x12 shifts
• Patient ratios of 1:5 in mixed acuity PCU/MedSurg unit
• Must be comfortable working across PCU and MedSurg units as needed
• Weekend requirement: every other weekend with 6 weekend shifts per contract
• Must work 2 out of 3 major holidays
• Floating within scope required to meet facility needs
• 18 months of nursing experience required, first-time travelers accepted
• Required certifications: ACLS and BCLS; NIH preferred
• Indiana license required prior to start (temporary licenses acceptable with permanent application submitted)
• Dress code: black bottoms and red top
• Charting system: Cerner
• Free parking available
• 36-hour orientation provided
• Must interpret and manage dysrhythmias, provide post cardiac surgery care, manage arterial lines, administer blood products
• Central line care, PICC line management, titrate cardiac and vasoactive drips
• Care for patients with CV surgery, thoracic surgery, cardiology, endocrine, and oncology diagnoses
• Previous charge experience preferred
• All private rooms with overhead lifts and telemetry monitoring
Facility:
This short-term acute care hospital features 210 staffed beds and operates a mixed acuity PCU/MedSurg unit with 30 beds and a daily census of 30 patients. The facility specializes in cardiovascular and thoracic surgery procedures including CABG, TAVR, SAVR, MVR, and VATS, along with comprehensive medical-surgical care. The hospital provides extensive interdisciplinary support including IV teams, physical therapy, respiratory services, pharmacy, and rapid response teams to ensure comprehensive patient care.

I am an Adult Cardiac Sonographer and I have been traveling for almost 3 years now and pretty much all the time with ADEX Healthcare staffing. I always look around for all the options as most of travelers do, but end up with this company, because They don’t fail me! Good competitive rates and always attention. Vincent Poast is the guy you want to deal with no matter what is your experience in traveling and profession. He always explains all pros and cons of a contract. I feel like he is on my side compared to other recruiters. The most important part for me that he always answers my calls and texts no matter if it’s a weekend or after hours! Also, if he can’t help me directly, he would get a ADEX staff member who resolves an issue right the way. The whole team has been very helpful for almost 6 contracts now. Oh, and another very important thing for me that Vince never pushes to get into a contract and bothers like a lot of other recruiters that calling and texting day and night. He lets you decide what you really want !
