Opportunity:

Registered Nurse - PCU

Job Details:

• Work in mixed acuity unit with ICU ratios of 1:2 and AA ratios of 1:3-4 (very rare)
• Available shifts: 8-hour, 10-hour, or 12-hour options
• Guaranteed hours: 40 hours per week for 8/10-hour shifts, 36 hours for 3x12s, 48 hours for 4x12s
• Weekend requirement: Every other weekend (6 weekend shifts per contract)
• Must work 2 out of 3 major holidays
• Floating within hospital or to affiliate hospitals is 100% required
• 36 hours of orientation provided
• Required certifications: ACLS, BCLS (NIH preferred)
• 18 months of experience required
• Indiana state license must be in hand prior to start date
• Previous charge experience preferred
• Must be comfortable caring for patients from ICU to PCU acuity levels
• Manage CV surgery and thoracic surgery patients including CABG, TAVR, SAVR, MVR, and VATS
• Care for cardiovascular and oncology patients across Med/Surg, Progressive, and ICU settings
• Skills required: dysrhythmia interpretation and management, post cardiac surgery care, arterial line management, blood product administration, central line and PICC line management, cardiac and vasoactive drip titration
• Preferred skills: IABP management, pre/post cardiac cath care, sheath removal, ventilator management, VAD care
• Dress code: Black bottoms and red top
• Charting system: Cerner
• Free parking provided
• All private rooms with overhead lifts and telemetry monitoring
