Description
Opportunity:
RN - PICU
Job Details:
• Work day shifts with 36 hours per week guaranteed
• 13-week assignment with 2:1 patient ratios on days, nights, and weekends
• Must have minimum 1 year of Pediatric ICU experience
• Must have at least 12 months/1 year experience working as a traveler - first time travelers will not be accepted
• Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS (only AHA certifications accepted, RQI not accepted)
• Must hold both Missouri (or compact) and Kansas state nursing licenses
• Weekend coverage required
• Floating required between main facility and sister hospital in Overland Park, KS (approximately 12 miles apart)
• Charting system: Cerner
• Scrub color: Any kid-friendly color or pattern
• Pass/fail medication/dosage test given first week requiring 100% to pass with 3 attempts allowed
• Provide advanced illness management for critically ill pediatric patients
• Care for patients with conditions including respiratory failure, brain injury, congenital heart disease, septic shock, and post-operative recovery
• Utilize advanced monitoring and life support technologies including HFOV ventilation, ECMO, ICP monitoring, and bedside dialysis
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary team and provide family-centered care

I am an Adult Cardiac Sonographer and I have been traveling for almost 3 years now and pretty much all the time with ADEX Healthcare staffing. I always look around for all the options as most of travelers do, but end up with this company, because They don’t fail me! Good competitive rates and always attention. Vincent Poast is the guy you want to deal with no matter what is your experience in traveling and profession. He always explains all pros and cons of a contract. I feel like he is on my side compared to other recruiters. The most important part for me that he always answers my calls and texts no matter if it’s a weekend or after hours! Also, if he can’t help me directly, he would get a ADEX staff member who resolves an issue right the way. The whole team has been very helpful for almost 6 contracts now. Oh, and another very important thing for me that Vince never pushes to get into a contract and bothers like a lot of other recruiters that calling and texting day and night. He lets you decide what you really want !
