Description
Opportunity:
RN - Med Surg
Job Details:
• Work 3x12 hour night shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM
• Holiday rotation required
• Patient ratio of 1:6
• Weekend requirement: 4 weekend shifts per 4 weeks
• Float within scope to meet facility needs between like units
• 1 year of nursing experience required
• South Carolina or Multi State/Compact RN license required
• BLS certification required
• First-time travelers accepted
• Guaranteed hours with facility allowed to call off 1 shift per 2 weeks
• Block schedule accommodation possible with manager approval
• Dress code: Solid royal blue or white top with royal blue bottoms
• Electronic charting system: EPIC
• Skills required: Starting and maintaining IVs, Med/Surg, use of rapid response/code teams, peripheral line care/management, nasal cannula, non-invasive airway management, oxygen administration, oxygen tanks, isolation precautions
• Care for patients with multiple GI diagnoses and complex nursing care requirements including bariatric and autologous islet cell programs
• Patients 17 years of age or greater
• During hurricane season (June-November), may be assigned to emergency response teams

This Level I Trauma Center is a 820-bed Magnet teaching hospital that operates specialized digestive disease inpatient units. The facility features 21-bed general medical/surgical units providing complex nursing care using a modified modular nursing model that enhances teamwork. The hospital serves patients in bariatric and autologous islet cell programs, with primary medical services including luminal service, hepatology service, and GI surgery service divided into pancreobiliary, bariatric, and surgical oncology specialties.

I am an Adult Cardiac Sonographer and I have been traveling for almost 3 years now and pretty much all the time with ADEX Healthcare staffing. I always look around for all the options as most of travelers do, but end up with this company, because They don’t fail me! Good competitive rates and always attention. Vincent Poast is the guy you want to deal with no matter what is your experience in traveling and profession. He always explains all pros and cons of a contract. I feel like he is on my side compared to other recruiters. The most important part for me that he always answers my calls and texts no matter if it’s a weekend or after hours! Also, if he can’t help me directly, he would get a ADEX staff member who resolves an issue right the way. The whole team has been very helpful for almost 6 contracts now. Oh, and another very important thing for me that Vince never pushes to get into a contract and bothers like a lot of other recruiters that calling and texting day and night. He lets you decide what you really want !
