Opportunity:

RN - Med Surg

Job Details:

• 8-hour, 10-hour, or 12-hour shift options available
• Guaranteed hours: 40 hours per week for 8/10-hour shifts, 36 hours for three 12-hour shifts, or 48 hours for four 12-hour shifts
• Weekend coverage required
• Must work 2 out of 3 major holidays
• Floating required within hospital or to affiliate hospitals nearby
• Patient ratios of 1:5-6
• 1.5 years of nursing experience required
• Required certifications: BLS, with ACLS and NIHSS preferred
• Indiana state nursing license must be in hand prior to start date
• 24 hours of orientation provided
• Charting system: Cerner
• Skills required: Med/Surg experience, IV start capability, pre/post neurosurgery care, total joint replacement care
• Preferred skills: Ortho trauma, interpretation and management of dysrhythmias
• Care for patients with orthopedic conditions, GYN, urology, neurosurgery, medical diagnoses including COPD, pneumonia, UTI, cellulitis
• Manage continuous bladder irrigation, chest tubes, surgical drains, wound care, and blood product administration
• Work with adult and geriatric patient populations
• Local Indiana residents not accepted for this position
• Two supervisor references required
