Opportunity:

RN - Med Surg Tele

Job Details:

• Provide direct nursing care for patients of all age groups including adolescents, adults, pediatrics, and geriatrics
• Manage care of assigned patients with 5:1 patient ratios for days, nights, and weekends
• Direct activities of ancillary staff and perform charge nurse functions
• Work with 24-bed unit with daily census of 17 patients
• Self-scheduling with weekend coverage required
• Call required depending on census
• One pre-approved time off request allowed per contract
• 36 hours of orientation required
• 2 years of nursing experience required
• Epic charting system experience preferred
• Community hospital experience preferred
• Required certifications: BLS, PALS, ACLS (must be AHA certified)
• California RN license required at time of submission
• Must be available for lab work within 3-5 days of signing
• 50-mile travel requirement
• Complete nursing modules during orientation (1-5 hours average)
• Care for patients with diagnoses including CHF, COPD, diabetes, CVA, pneumonia, sepsis, and post-surgical conditions
• Perform skills including telemetry monitoring, port access/management, phlebotomy, PCA management, tracheostomy care, blood product administration, central line care, IV management, wound care, and chest tube management
