Job Details:

• Work flexible schedule with (2) 8-hour shifts and (2) 12-hour shifts available
• Night shift hours: 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM and 11:00 PM to 7:00 AM
• Float to GI unit or Center One Surgery Center as needed
• Must work 2 weekend nights in a 6-week schedule
• Holiday requirement: Must work 1 Winter Holiday and 1 Summer Holiday (may be 8 or 12 hours)
• On-call requirement: 1 Winter and 1 Summer Holiday
• Weekend call requirement: 2 weekend nights in a 6-week schedule
• 3 years of OR experience required
• Level I Trauma, Liver and Kidney experience required
• BSN degree required
• Previous charge experience required
• Travel experience required - no first-time travelers
• PA or compact state license required at time of submission
• Required certifications: BLS, NBSTSA or NCCT
• Charting system: Cerner
• Patient ratio: 1:1
• Work with all surgical procedures and equipment
• Skills required: General OR, Trauma, Scrub Cardiovascular Surgery, Neurology surgery, Transplant Surgery, Vascular Surgery
• Must complete 40 hours of orientation
• Must complete labs within 48 hours of signing
• PA fingerprints required

Facility:

This major medical center operates a comprehensive surgical department with 14 operating rooms serving adult patients. The facility specializes in complex surgical procedures including trauma, cardiovascular, neurology, transplant, and vascular surgeries. The medical center maintains a daily census of approximately 30 patients and provides extensive interdisciplinary support services including respiratory services, interpretation services, radiology, social services, rapid response teams, pharmacy, and unit secretary support.
