Opportunity:

RN - Med Surg Tele

Job Details:

• Day/Evening patient ratios are 5 to 1 (stretch 6-7), Night ratios are 6-7 to 1 (stretch 8-10 if staff calls in)
• 19-bed unit caring for adult and geriatric patients
• 1 year of recent experience required
• First-time travelers accepted
• Every other weekend requirement
• Block scheduling preferred but not guaranteed
• Required to float within scope to meet facility needs
• No on-call requirements
• 12 hours of orientation provided
• Dress code: any combination of navy and white scrubs
• Epic charting system (Epic experience is a hard requirement)
• Required certifications: BLS
• Must demonstrate competency in interpretation and management of dysrhythmias
• Experience with Rapid Response Teams, peripheral line care/management required
• Must be skilled in oxygen administration (nasal cannula, face masks, portable tanks)
• Non-invasive airway management and isolation precautions/PPE knowledge required
• Work with special equipment including SCD pump, Bear Hugger, wound vac, tube feeding pump
• Patient diagnoses include acute kidney injury, sepsis, COVID, alcohol withdrawal, altered mental status, and various infections
• Comprehensive interdisciplinary support including IV teams, phlebotomy, respiratory services, and rapid response teams
• New York license required in hand to submit
• RTO requests should be kept close to 1 week
