Opportunity:

Registered Nurse - PCU

Job Details:

• Work 3x12 hour night shifts from 6:45 PM to 7:15 AM (4x12s available upon request)
• Weekend requirement: May be every other weekend or 6 weekend shifts in a 6-week scheduling block
• Must work one holiday per 13-week contract
• Patient ratio of 1:5 serving adults and geriatric patients
• Required to float within skillset
• Epic charting experience required
• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS
• 1 year of experience required, previous charge experience preferred
• Must have experience in PCU/DOU/IMC/Stepdown settings
• Clinical skills include cardiac monitoring, dysrhythmia interpretation and management, IV therapy and phlebotomy, blood product administration, central and peripheral line care, respiratory support, and rapid response/isolation protocols
• Specializes in care of Hospitalist Medicine patients with renal and other medical diagnoses
• One bed dedicated to chronic vent patients
• Functions as alternative unit for gastrointestinal, pulmonary, and other surgical patients
• Active Virginia State or Compact RN license required
• 28 hours of orientation provided
• First-time travelers accepted
