Opportunity:

RN - Med Surg

Job Details:

• Work three 12-hour night shifts from 6:45 PM to 7:15 AM
• Every other weekend schedule required
• Holiday coverage as needed
• Patient ratio of 1:5-6 patients
• Minimum 2 years of experience required
• First time travelers welcome
• Required certifications: ACLS and BLS
• Previous Charge RN experience preferred
• Experience with MedHost charting system required
• 72 hours of orientation provided
• One pre-approved time off allowed per contract
• Care for adult and geriatric patients with diagnoses including CHF, pneumonia, COPD, cellulitis, kidney disease, and electrolyte imbalances
• Perform procedures including NG tubes, PEG tubes, IV antibiotics, wound care, and thoracentesis
• Skills required include telemetry monitoring, central line blood draws, tracheostomy care, wound vac management, and blood product administration
• Work with interdisciplinary team including respiratory services, radiology, social services, and pharmacy

Facility:

This medical center operates a 15-bed medical surgical unit providing comprehensive inpatient care for adult and geriatric populations. The facility maintains a daily census of approximately 6 patients and offers specialized services including wound care consultations, surgical consultations, and various diagnostic procedures. The unit is supported by a full interdisciplinary team and equipped with modern medical technology to provide quality patient care in a community hospital setting.
