Opportunity:

RN - Med Surg

Job Details:

• Work three 12-hour day shifts from 6:45 AM to 7:15 PM
• Every other weekend schedule required
• Holiday coverage as needed
• Patient ratios of 1:5-6 during all shifts
• Minimum 2 years of experience required
• First-time travelers welcome
• 72 hours of orientation provided
• Required certifications: ACLS and BLS
• Previous Charge RN experience preferred
• MedHost charting system experience required
• Community hospital experience preferred
• Provide care for adult and geriatric patients with diagnoses including CHF, pneumonia, cellulitis, COPD, electrolyte imbalances, and wound care
• Manage various procedures including NG tubes, PEG tubes, IV antibiotics, thoracentesis, paracentesis, and wound care
• Work with equipment including CPAP, BiPAP, telemetry monitoring, central lines, and surgical drains
• Skills required include telemetry monitoring, dysrhythmia interpretation and management, blood draws, IV management, and tracheostomy care

Facility:

This medical center operates a 15-bed medical-surgical unit serving adult and geriatric patients with a daily census of approximately 6 patients. The facility provides comprehensive interdisciplinary support including respiratory services, radiology, social services, lift teams, pharmacy, and unit secretary support.
