Opportunity:

RN - ICU

Job Details:

• Work 3x12 hour shifts from 6:45 AM to 7:15 PM
• Must be comfortable working ALL ICU and PCU units as a float nurse
• Staffing needs re-evaluated every 4 hours, potential to float 2-3 times per shift
• Patient ratios: ICU average 2:1, PCU average 5:1
• Weekend requirement: May be every other weekend or 6 weekend shifts in a 6-week scheduling block
• Must work one holiday per 13-week contract
• EPIC charting experience required
• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS
• Minimum 2 years of experience preferred
• Experience at a Large Level 1/2 facility required
• Clinical skills required: IV therapy, arterial line management, central/PICC line care, blood product administration
• Respiratory support: BiPAP & CPAP management, ventilated patient care
• Medication administration: continuous IV sedation, emergency medications, cardiac & vasoactive drip titration
• Wound care: surgical wounds with drains or wound vacs
• Cardiac monitoring: dysrhythmia interpretation & management
• IV insulin protocol adherence
• 24 hours of orientation provided
• Facility may call off 1 shift per 2 weeks
• First-time travelers accepted
• Care for adult and geriatric patients
