Opportunity:

Registered Nurse - PCU

Job Details:

• Work 3x12 hour night shifts from 6:45 PM to 7:15 AM
• Weekend requirement may be every other weekend or 6 weekend shifts in a 6-week scheduling block
• Must work one holiday per 13-week contract
• Typical patient ratio of 1:5
• EPIC charting experience required
• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS
• Ventilator experience required for chronic trach and vent patients
• 24 hours of orientation provided
• Floating required within skillset
• Work on hybrid unit with 10 PCU beds and 2 ICU beds
• Care for patients with DKA, COPD, Sepsis, Suicide/Overdose, Chronic respiratory failure, and renal failure
• Perform cardiac monitoring, emergency response, and dysrhythmia interpretation/management
• Manage IV therapy, phlebotomy, blood product administration, and central/peripheral line care
• Provide medication administration including cardiac drips (no titration)
• Support respiratory care including nasal cannula, oxygen administration, non-invasive airway management
• Participate in Rapid Response and Code team activation
• Maintain isolation precautions and telemetry settings
• May work without CNA support
• Remote telemetry monitoring system in place
• 1 year of experience required
• Previous charge experience preferred
• Trauma Level I experience preferred
