Opportunity:

RN - CVICU

Job Details:

• Work 3x12 hour night shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM with holiday rotation
• Patient ratio of 1:2
• Every other weekend requirement mandatory
• Float to like units as needed, same expectation as staff nurses with agency nurses floating first
• Minimum 1 year of cardiac experience required
• Travel experience required, first-time travelers not accepted
• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS
• South Carolina license or Compact license must be in hand prior to start
• Royal blue scrubs required
• Epic charting system
• Free parking provided
• Guaranteed hours with facility allowed to call off 1 shift per 2 weeks
• Must be available for emergency response teams during hurricane season (June-November)
• Complete approximately 4 hours of non-billable modules pre-start
• Block schedule requests can be submitted but not guaranteed
• Extensive skills required including ECMO care, IABP, Swan Ganz monitoring, cardiac drips, ventilator management, and post-cardiac surgery care

Facility:

This acute care hospital features 276 staffed beds and provides comprehensive cardiovascular intensive care services. The facility specializes in post-operative cardiac care including open heart surgery patients and utilizes advanced cardiac monitoring equipment such as chest tubes, IABP, Impella devices, CRRT, temporary pacers, and Swan Ganz catheters. The unit maintains interdisciplinary support services including respiratory therapy and phlebotomy to ensure comprehensive patient care.
