Opportunity:

RN - Med Surg Tele

Job Details:

• Work 12-hour night shifts from 6:45 PM to 7:15 AM
• 13-week assignment with three 12-hour shifts per week
• Patient ratios of 1:5
• 8 weekend shifts required in 6-week schedule period (combination of Friday/Saturday/Sunday)
• Regular floating may be required between departments, units and facilities as needed
• Holiday shifts and Charge RN assignments as needed per unit
• Must have Kansas and Missouri nursing licenses or compact license at time of submission
• 1 year of Med Surg Telemetry experience required
• Required certifications: BLS, NIHSS
• Required skills: Telemetry monitoring on unit, interpretation and management of dysrhythmias, use of Rapid Response/Code teams, pacemaker management, central line care, blood product administration, wound care, and titrating cardiac drips
• Care for adult and geriatric patients with diagnoses including chest pain rule out, heart failure, sepsis, post-surgical patients, and post-catheterization patients
• Navy scrubs required
• EPIC charting system
• 12 hours of orientation provided
• Guaranteed 3 shifts per 13-week contract
• Maximum 7 days of requested time off allowed

Facility:

This 240-bed community hospital features a 33-bed Med Surg Telemetry unit with a daily census of 30 patients. The facility includes a 16-bed ICU and offers comprehensive interdisciplinary support including IV teams, physical therapy, respiratory services, pharmacy, rapid response teams, and social services. The hospital utilizes EPIC charting and provides modern equipment and technology to support quality patient care across multiple specialties.
