Opportunity:
RN - Med Surg
Job Details:
• Work on 5C, a 31-bed medical-surgical unit specializing in general surgery, urology, gynecology, and bariatric surgery
• Maintain 1:6 patient ratio for days, nights, and weekends
• Must have 3-4 competency levels in Bariatric Surgery, Thyroidectomy, Bowel Obstruction, and Continuous Bladder Irrigation (CBI)
• Experience required with voiding trials and/or urogyn surgeries
• 2 years of nursing experience required
• BLS certification required
• Flu vaccination required (medical/religious exemptions only)
• 24 hours of orientation provided
• Weekend coverage required
• Must work 2 out of 3 major holidays
• Floating required to other med-surg units within hospital or affiliated hospitals
• Pre-approved time off available (up to 5 days non-holiday can be auto-approved)
• Care for adult and geriatric patients with post-operative diagnoses including orthopedic, bariatric, uro-gynecology, and colorectal cases
• Work with interdisciplinary support teams including IV teams, physical therapy, respiratory services, radiology, social services, rapid response teams, pharmacy, and transportation
• Skills required: wound care/wound vac, surgical drains, peripheral nerve block catheters, general surgery post-care, and urology/GYN post-surgical care

I am an Adult Cardiac Sonographer and I have been traveling for almost 3 years now and pretty much all the time with ADEX Healthcare staffing. I always look around for all the options as most of travelers do, but end up with this company, because They don’t fail me! Good competitive rates and always attention. Vincent Poast is the guy you want to deal with no matter what is your experience in traveling and profession. He always explains all pros and cons of a contract. I feel like he is on my side compared to other recruiters. The most important part for me that he always answers my calls and texts no matter if it’s a weekend or after hours! Also, if he can’t help me directly, he would get a ADEX staff member who resolves an issue right the way. The whole team has been very helpful for almost 6 contracts now. Oh, and another very important thing for me that Vince never pushes to get into a contract and bothers like a lot of other recruiters that calling and texting day and night. He lets you decide what you really want !
