Opportunity:

Registered Nurse - PACU

Job Details:

• Work 8-hour shifts from 11:00 AM to 7:30 PM
• Schedule includes 2 weekend call shifts per month when requesting 4 total shifts (2 weekend and 2 weeknight)
• Block scheduling type with 2:1 patient ratios during days and nights
• 41-bed unit with 4 hours of orientation
• Must have 1 year of experience and accept first-time travelers
• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, PALS
• Skills required: Phase I PACU, Phase II Recovery, Endo/Laparoscopic, General, Ortho, Ortho/Spine, Ortho/Total joints, Arterial line management
• Care for patients of all age groups: Adolescents, Adults, Pediatrics, Geriatrics
• Teal scrubs provided by facility
• Epic charting system experience required
• NY license required in hand to submit
• Candidates within 75 miles of facility not accepted
• Floating required
• Pre-start modules required (billable up to 5 hours, total may reach 10 hours)
• Cannot have more than 10 days of requested time off

The facility offers extensive interdisciplinary support including IV teams, physical therapy, respiratory services, interpretation services, phlebotomy, radiology, social services, rapid response teams, pharmacy, transportation, and unit secretary services. The organization maintains high standards for patient care and utilizes modern Epic charting systems throughout their operations.
