Opportunity:

RN - PICU

Job Details:

• Work 12-hour night shifts with 36 hours per week
• 13-week assignment with ASAP start date
• Must have 1 year minimum pediatric CICU experience
• Must have at least 12 months/1 year experience in a traveler setting - first time travelers not accepted
• Patient ratio of 1:2 for days, nights, and weekends
• May float to cardiac med-surg floor as needed and between sister hospital locations
• Float required between main Kansas City campus and Overland Park, KS facility (12 miles southwest)
• Weekend coverage required with self-scheduling
• Required certifications: BLS, PALS, CCRN (only AHA certifications accepted - RQI not accepted)
• Must have both Missouri or compact license AND Kansas license
• Pass/fail medication/dosage test given first week requiring 100% to pass (3 attempts given)
• Work with patients having congenital heart defects, cardiomyopathy, arrhythmias, and myo/endocarditis
• Experience with CRRT, ECMO, VADs required
• Work with advanced monitoring lines, atriamp, art/cvp, PA, and umbilical equipment
• Patient age groups include neonates, infants, pediatrics, and adolescents
• Any kid-friendly colored scrubs allowed
• Epic charting system experience required
• Smoke-free facility environment
