Description
Opportunity:
RN - PICU
Job Details:
• Work night shifts with 36 hours per week schedule
• 13-week assignment with weekend coverage required
• 2:1 patient ratio for all shifts (days, nights, weekends)
• Must have minimum 1 year of PICU experience as a traveler - first-time travelers will not be accepted
• Must have at least 12 months experience in a traveler setting
• Required certifications: BLS, PALS, ACLS (only AHA certifications accepted, RQI not accepted)
• Must hold both Missouri/compact license and Kansas license
• Epic charting system experience required
• Level I Trauma Center experience required
• Float between main facility and sister hospital in Overland Park, KS (approximately 12 miles away)
• Pass/fail medication/dosage test during first week with 100% passing score required (3 attempts given)
• Care for patients with acute organ failure, respiratory distress, brain injuries, congenital heart disease, and other critical conditions
• Work with advanced monitoring and life support technologies including ECMO, dialysis, and intracranial pressure monitoring
• Provide comprehensive family-centered care for neonates, infants, pediatrics, and adolescents
• Scrub color: Any kid-friendly color or pattern allowed
• Free parking with permit provided

The 390-staffed bed facility provides 24-hour care with board-certified pediatric critical care specialists and offers advanced technologies including ECMO, high-frequency oscillation ventilation, and bedside dialysis. The facility features comprehensive interdisciplinary support services and provides consultation for 30 medical and 8 surgical pediatric subspecialties with 24-hour ground and air emergency transport services.

I am an Adult Cardiac Sonographer and I have been traveling for almost 3 years now and pretty much all the time with ADEX Healthcare staffing. I always look around for all the options as most of travelers do, but end up with this company, because They don’t fail me! Good competitive rates and always attention. Vincent Poast is the guy you want to deal with no matter what is your experience in traveling and profession. He always explains all pros and cons of a contract. I feel like he is on my side compared to other recruiters. The most important part for me that he always answers my calls and texts no matter if it’s a weekend or after hours! Also, if he can’t help me directly, he would get a ADEX staff member who resolves an issue right the way. The whole team has been very helpful for almost 6 contracts now. Oh, and another very important thing for me that Vince never pushes to get into a contract and bothers like a lot of other recruiters that calling and texting day and night. He lets you decide what you really want !
