Description
Opportunity:
RN - PICU
Job Details:
• Work night shifts with 36 hours per week schedule
• 13-week assignment length
• 2:1 patient ratios for days, nights, and weekends
• Must have at least 1 year of Pediatric ICU experience
• Must have at least 12 months/1 year experience in a traveler setting - first time travelers will not be accepted
• Weekend coverage required
• Float between main facility and sister hospital in Overland Park, KS (approximately 12 miles southwest)
• Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS (only AHA certifications accepted, RQI not accepted)
• Must have both Missouri (or compact) and Kansas state nursing licenses
• Pass medication/dosage test in first week with 100% score (3 attempts given)
• Scrub color: any kid-friendly color or pattern
• Charting system: Cerner and Epic experience required
• Care for patients with conditions including acute organ failure, respiratory distress, brain injury, congenital heart disease, post-operative recovery, and septic shock
• Provide advanced illness management and critical care monitoring
• Work with specialized equipment including HFOV, ECMO, intracranial pressure monitoring, and bedside dialysis
• Free parking with permit provided

The 390-bed facility provides 24-hour care with board-certified pediatric critical care specialists and offers advanced monitoring and life support technologies. The hospital features comprehensive interdisciplinary support including IV teams, respiratory services, pharmacy, and rapid response teams, with consultation services for 30 medical and 8 surgical pediatric subspecialties.

I am an Adult Cardiac Sonographer and I have been traveling for almost 3 years now and pretty much all the time with ADEX Healthcare staffing. I always look around for all the options as most of travelers do, but end up with this company, because They don’t fail me! Good competitive rates and always attention. Vincent Poast is the guy you want to deal with no matter what is your experience in traveling and profession. He always explains all pros and cons of a contract. I feel like he is on my side compared to other recruiters. The most important part for me that he always answers my calls and texts no matter if it’s a weekend or after hours! Also, if he can’t help me directly, he would get a ADEX staff member who resolves an issue right the way. The whole team has been very helpful for almost 6 contracts now. Oh, and another very important thing for me that Vince never pushes to get into a contract and bothers like a lot of other recruiters that calling and texting day and night. He lets you decide what you really want !
