Opportunity:

RN - Med Surg

Job Details:

• Work day shifts with every other weekend requirement
• Additional 2 weekday shifts may be assigned based on staffing needs
• Holiday rotation required - must work one summer and one winter holiday
• Patient ratio of 1:6 across all shifts
• Staff assigned to groups for self-scheduling with rotating scheduling periods weekly
• 24 hours of orientation provided
• 2 years of nursing experience required
• Required certifications: BLS and CPI
• Must be comfortable with IV insulin protocols, colostomy/ileostomy management, pre/post hemodialysis management, and accessing/managing ports
• Experience needed with central line blood draws, chest tubes, tracheostomy care, wound care/wound vac management
• Skills required include blood product administration, PICC line management, starting and maintaining IVs, and high flow nasal cannula
• Work with adult and geriatric patient populations
• Handle patient diagnoses including pneumonia, renal failure, sepsis, diabetes management, COPD, and wound care
• Zero tolerance policy for THC - medical marijuana cards not accepted
• Fit testing required with shaving policy for proper mask fit
• Flu vaccine required with medical/religious exemptions only
• Must live more than 50 miles from facility (locals not accepted)
• Cannot have worked permanently for this organization within past 24 months
