Opportunity:

Registered Nurse - PACU

Job Details:

• Work 8-hour shifts from 12:00 PM to 8:30 PM
• 2 weekend call shifts per month when requesting 4 total shifts (2 weekend and 2 weeknight)
• Patient ratio of 2:1 during days and nights
• 4 hours of orientation required
• Float to other units as needed
• Teal scrubs provided by facility
• Epic charting system experience required
• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, PALS
• 1 year of experience required
• Must maintain NY nursing license
• Skills include Phase I PACU, Phase II Recovery, Endo/Laparoscopic procedures, General surgery, Ortho, Ortho/Spine, Ortho/Total joints, and arterial line management
• Care for patients of all age groups: adolescents, adults, pediatrics, and geriatrics
• Up to 5 billable hours for pre-start modules completion
• Must be located more than 75 miles from facility
• First-time travelers accepted

This short-term acute care teaching hospital features 471 staffed beds and a 41-bed PACU unit. The facility offers comprehensive interdisciplinary support including IV teams, physical therapy, respiratory services, interpretation services, phlebotomy, radiology, social services, rapid response teams, pharmacy, transportation services, and unit secretaries. The hospital maintains modern equipment and Epic charting systems to support high-quality patient care across multiple surgical specialties.
