Opportunity:

RN - Med Surg

Job Details:

• Work three 12-hour night shifts from 6:45 PM to 7:15 AM
• Every other weekend coverage required with holidays as needed
• Block scheduling with patient ratios of 1:5-6 on all shifts
• Minimum 2 years experience required, first-time travelers accepted
• Previous charge nurse experience preferred
• ACLS and BLS certifications required
• 72 hours of orientation provided
• Care for adult and geriatric patients with conditions including CHF, pneumonia, COPD, cellulitis, and wound care
• Experience with MedHost charting system required
• Skills include telemetry monitoring, central line blood draws, tracheostomy care, wound care/wound vac, and managing cardiac drips
• Handle special procedures including NG tubes, PEG tubes, IV antibiotics, thoracentesis, and paracentesis
• Work with interdisciplinary support including respiratory services, radiology, social services, and pharmacy
• 15-bed unit with daily census of 6 patients
• One pre-approved time off allowed during contract
