Opportunity:

RN - Med Surg Tele

Job Details:

• Work in a 14-bed overflow unit designed to accommodate ED boarder patients
• Function as a medical/surgical telemetry unit with flexible space in GI Endoscopy area
• Patient ratios: 5:1 during days, 7:1 during nights
• Weekend coverage required every other weekend (EOW)
• Float required to ED holding patients
• 12 hours of orientation provided
• Care for adult and geriatric patient populations
• Required certifications: BLS, NIHSS
• Must have 1 year of nursing experience
• EPIC charting system experience required
• Previous charge experience preferred
• Must be competent in IV placement, dysrhythmia interpretation and management
• Skills required: MS/Tele, use of Rapid Response/Code teams, peripheral line care, oxygen administration, non-invasive airway management, isolation precautions
• Dress code: Navy blue/white scrubs
• New York nursing license required in hand to submit
• Candidates within 75 miles of facility not accepted
• Maximum 10 days RTO allowed
• Pre-start modules required (up to 5 billable hours)
